Bcstaffzone is currently looking for a number of Instrumentation Technicians to work with a Market Leading E&I Contractor based in the UK for a short term contract to work on some exciting Pharmaceutical projects.
The successful candidate will be a time served Electrical/Instrumentation craftsperson with a minimum of 8 years’ experience maintaining Electrical systems in a regulated environment.
Responsibilities & Requirements
· Applicants should have more than 8 years’ experience as an instrumentation technician and ideally some experience in in pharmaceutical sector
· Educational qualifications: ONC or equivalent in a relevant discipline or standard based qualification (NVQ level 2) or equivalent.
· Must be trained and be able to carry out routine maintenance of Pressure, Temperature, Level and Flow loops, hot loops, including removal and reinstallation.
· Must be trained and be able to carry out routine maintenance of Control Valves, Solenoid Valves, Pneumatic Actuators, Positioners, etc.
· Tests accuracy of flowmeters, pressure gauges, temperature indicators, controllers, radiation counters or detectors, and other recording, indicating or controlling instruments to locate defective components in system, using test equipment, such as pressure gauges, mercury manometers, potentiometers, pulse and signal generators, oscilloscopes, transistor curve tracers, and ammeters, voltmeters, and wattmeter’s.
· Must be experienced in and able to gland cables.
· Must be able to assist in loop testing, function testing and commissioning of instrumentation loops.
· Can read and understand the PEFS or P&ID, Loop diagrams and Instrument data sheets.
