Our client is a leading civil engineering contractor and is seeking an Assistant Tunnel Plant Manager to work on a large tunnelling project in Sweden. The ideal candidate will come from a similar background within the construction, mining or heavy industrial sectors.
Job Duties:
• Reporting to the Plant Manager
• Supporting Plant Manager for activities such as planning, design and procurement of the plant and machinery (including relevant material and consumables)
• Ensuring all works carried out to the required standard with minimum risk to personnel, equipment and materials
• Monitor the periodic testing and inspection of all plant & machinery to ensure that they are maintained in good condition
• Ensure site documentation is accurate, timely and relevant
• Working in the site offices and underground in the tunnels as required
The successful candidate will have the following profile:
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Ability to read and understand hydraulic and electrical diagrams
• Experience in the installation and operation of industrial facilities (generally in the plant)
• Excellent knowledge on use Microsoft Office (preferably Access)
• Knowledge or MT/LT (middle tension / low tension)
• Strong safety background essential
• Must be fluent in Swedish
