THE COMPANY

Our client is a professional Medical Devices organization, based in Nordrhein-Westfalen Germany.

By working closely with surgeons this company is one of the world leading Medical Devices companies and aims to stay in this position. Because they get constant feedback about their products by surgeons they are able to develop and deliver top end surgical equipment.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

As the Area Sales Manager you will be responsible for the preparation and execution of the short and long-term sales objectives. You will be responsible for your own area, both existing and new business, regarding the medical equipment the client develops and produces. The area for this job is the South Western part of Germany. The client is looking for a sales driven candidate who is also comfortable with giving demos and support to the customers on site.

RESPONSIBILITIES

-Be the key advisor to the customers or end-users in the South Western area of Germany
-You will be responsible for product advice, product application, product delivery and product after-sales service
-You will be responsible for the preparation and execution of the territory sales plan
-Care for and develop (new) customer relationships
-Install the surgical equipment and train the end-users on site
-Maintain a constant high level of customer satisfaction working closely together with the Customer Service Team
-Updating the QA team about any issues regarding the product or application quality
-Qualifying and following up on any interesting sales lead
-Being updated on any relevant information regarding all market developments

REQUIREMENTS

-At least a BSc degree in Business Management or an equivalent combination of education and experience (Fachholschule)
-At least 3 years sales experience in medical devices (preferably Ophthalmology)
-Experience with giving demos and trainings in medical equipment usage
-Excellent written and oral communication skills in both German and English
-A high amount of self confidence, drive, problem solving abilities, an eye for detail and eagerness to learn
-Experience with MS Office applications and preferably database programs
-Preferably living in the south-western part of Germany
