THE COMPANY
Our client is a professional Food organization, based in Brandenburg Germany.
For our client a leading food ingredients solutions provider, developing ingredients for the meat industry worldwide we are currently looking for an Application Specialist with a strong background in microbiology, preferably food microbiology and with experience in project management.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
Your main task will be project management focusing on new product development. In addition to this you will be involved in customized projects and tasks. Furthermore you will be partially in charge of handling and analyzing customer samples as well as creating analytical reports.
In your daily work you will have a close collaboration with the meat innovation team, the global innovation organization of my client, their Sales and Marketing people and the local production team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Project management
Preparation of analytical and scientific reports
Involvement in patenting processes (IPR)
Microbiological and chemical analysis of food samples (e.g. meat)
Execution of challenge and shelf-life tests in meat matrices
Support to Sales and Marketing
REQUIREMENTS
You hold a master degree of Life Science in the field of biology respectively microbiology or a closely related field
You have a strong background in microbiology, preferably applied or food microbiology
You have a very good knowledge of molecular microbiology and microbial physiology
You have extensive skills in experimental design and planning and a good understanding of analytical techniques
You have good skills in project management
You have strong English and at best German communication skills, oral and written
You have excellent IT skills incl. Excel, Word and PowerPoint
You have the ability to work in a dynamic environment and you are motivated by taking on new challenges
You work well under pressure and you can handle changes in prioritizations
You are willing to travel 2-3 weeks per year
A background in meat science would be advantageous
