For our Client, the world's largest company dedicated to industrial automation, we are currently searching for a person interested in the role of Application Support Engineer FTPC.
Your new role
As an Application Support Engineer FTPC, you will provide technical support for FactoryTalk Production Centre based solutions, taking full ownership to resolve customer issues, using remote connections, phone and email. On this position you will be the technical lead on a number of Application Support contracts ensuring that all contractual deliverables are met. One of your duties will be building competencies through product training and on the job tasks such as customer site visits or project work, in order to reduce enquiry resolution time for customers, office personnel, distributors, and integrators. You will write, modify and review Technical Notes, Technical Bulletins, and other documentation to inform the field of solutions to commonly experienced problems, work-arounds, installation practices that create problems, etc. to improve customer satisfaction and acceptance.
What you'll need to succeed
To be a successful Candidate on this role you need to have experience in previous customer support, or technical role, with a strong core knowledge of MES and ERP level applications. Also, you must have the experience with FactoryTalk Production Centre or other MES (CPG Suite, Pharma Suite), Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle maintenance and troubleshooting, Industrial and enterprise Networks, and Java or other object oriented programming language. Moreover, you need to have knowledge in one or more of the following areas: PCs, Servers and Microsoft operating systems, VMWare or other Virtualisation environment, PharmaSuite or AutoSuite., FactoryTalk Historian SE and VantagePoint, PLCs, HMI automation solutions. Proficiency in English language speaking and writing skills is required .
