For our Client we are currently looking for:

Job description:

• operation of applications and services during the agreed service times
• monitoring of applications and interface
• measurement of relevant performance indicators and utilization of resources
• work with a lot of different standardized and application specific technologies
• use of system specific and application specific tools
• management and handling of incidents, changes, problems and known errors
• quick recovery of failed application services with respect to the agreed SLA’s
• up-dating, maintenance and management of technical manuals (operations handbook) and other documentation
• participation in technical testing and technical inspections of new software releases
• cooperation with the client IT team, release management, service level management and other internal departments
• installation and configuration of software

Job requirements:

• good knowledge and practical skills in operating Linux (esp. SLES), Sun Solaris, Windows 2003 / 2008 Server, IBM z/OS (esp. CICS, batch processing by TWS, JCL) with expert level in at least one of them
• good knowledge in computer networks and communication protocols, e.g. TCP/IP, FTP, SSL, HTTPS, Connect:Direct, MQ Series, RVS
• knowledge in operating and administrating databases, e.g. ADABAS, IMB DB2, Oracle
• knowledge and practical skills in operating web-based technologies like Apache http server, Apache JBoss, BEA-Weblogic
• English – fluent in writing and speaking (CEFR level C1 at least)
• German language skills – desirable (CEFR level B1, understanding technical documentation) 
• strong sense of responsibility and forward-looking mode
• strong ability to work in teams as well as working independently
• strong communicational skills in external (to the client) and internal communication
• readiness to work outside regular business hours and (possible) to perform on-call duty
