Android developer

Tellyo start-up, which is about the better way to enjoy TV, is looking for an Android Developer. We are a Finnish-Polish team graduated in December 2011 from the world’s leading open-sourced seed accelerator program StartupSauna. Since we are looking forward to make our product the best in the market, we are primarily looking for a team member with a long-term commitment – for us app development is not a project, but an ongoing iteration process. That is why we want to make top quality software as important as everything else in our company DNA.

As an Android Developer you will be responsible for development of Tellyo's smartphones and tablets applications. You will interact with other developers and designers to move TV watching experience into new era.  

We don’t expect you to work 40h / week from the start, but we really appreciate creativity, entrepreneurial attitude and proactiveness.

Required skills:

Programming knowledge especially including:

• Object Oriented Programming in Java
• Design Patterns

Android Development Platform knowledge especially including:

• Activities, Services, Content Providers and Intents
• User Interface with XML Layouts, Styles, Themes and Localization
• Data storage with Shared Preferences, SQLite, Internal Storage and Internet Connection
• Design for Performance and Responsiveness will be a plus
• Asmack library will be a plus

Tools, protocols and other knowledge:

• Eclipse IDE
• Git repository
• JSON and XMPP protocols will be a plus
• Assembla Project Management familiarity will be a plus
• Agile/Scrum familiarity will be a plus
