Role Purpose / Summary:
- To support the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) Programme through the collation, understanding and definition of business requirements.
- To assist in the assurance of changes to the ECM product set that are consistent with product direction and strategy and meet the needs of the business.
- Provide advice, guidance and subject matter expertise on ECM to business, suppliers and IT functions alike, partnering with internal colleagues and external suppliers to reach the desired goals.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
- To assist the client in the adoption of the resulting ECM solution, to ensure that the client gains maximum benefit from the implementation, including user acceptance.
- Form relationships with business subject matter experts, encouraging trust and transparency, during project requirements gathering for assigned pieces of analyst work.
- To explore, assess and review the client’s requirements with the client before defining them to an IT project team.
- Review business requirements to ensure that the full IT and business impact has been thought through and addressed before passing to the delivery team for execution.
- Help with the identification of any potential additions to the Core ECM assets, during the requirements gathering stage of development projects.
- To explore, assess and review the client’s management information requirements with the client before defining them to an IT project team.
- Ensure standard processes and procedures are followed in accordance with IT Governance standards.
- Capture identified risks or issues so the relevant project manager can enter them in the appropriate registers.
- Provide advice and guidance on functional interdependencies identified during requirements analysis and how that may influence or constrain project scheduling.
- Gather/provide Non Functional Requirements relating to user security, access control, user profiles, audit and data storage.
- Identify any additional requirements that could result in changes to the standard ECM Service Management processes and SLAs.
- Service Incident & Problem Management - To provide subject matter expert advice and assistance in the identification and diagnosis of problems.
- Review and approve the requirements, systems design and other business analysis documentation produced by the delivery team to ensure that the solution meets business requirements.
- Technical Problem Solving - To provide subject matter expert advice and assistance to project teams in the resolution of technical problems.
- Technical Support - Provide subject matter input in the resolution of general technical production incidents to achieve timely resolution.
Required skills
- Must have good experience in gathering the business requirements and defining the functional and technical specifications from the business requirements.
- Must have experience in requirement gathering of large ECM based solution preferably using IBM FileNet 4.x to 5.x and also putting something about partnering with internal colleagues and external suppliers to reach the desired goals.
- Must have experience in analysis techniques e.g. process modeling techniques, data modeling techniques, functional goal decomposition techniques.
- Ability to understand how ECM will impact the current business processes and communicate that impact to the business. Ability to review current business processes and recommend process changes where necessary.
- Should have good knowledge of metadata model, master data and audit data management, defining/modeling of business processes.
- Should have good experience in large content migration projects (documents, metadata transformation, audit, annotation, workflow migration etc.).
- English speaking plus at least one of the following French, Spanish, Italian, German
