For our Client we are currently looking for qualified Candidates for the position of: Administrator Linux/Unix
Location: Katowice
Job type: contract B2B (via HAYS)
Main responsibilities :
- System administration of Linux platforms (Redhat).
- You are responsible for the installation and tuning of the Linux infrastructure.
- Monitoring of the Linux infrastructure(Nagios/BMC BEM/RRD-tools).
- Follow-up of incidents, problems, changes related to this platform.
- First and second level support
- Assist in maintaining and improving and innovation of the platform.
- Scrupulous followed of the rules and the respect for quality, KPI, security baselines and system policies.
Requirements :
- Relevant university degree or equivalent in one of the following subject areas: Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Technology or related field preferred.
- Certified Linux Redhat RHCE or equivalent on experience.
- Min 5 years in the Linux Redhat domain ( System maintenance, clustering, virtualization, storage, security, network & protocols).
- High experience internal security, LDAP/IPA/Kerberos, security management and implementation in an Linux environment.
- Experience with is an important add on.
- You have a good knowledge of the French language, Knowledge of technical English is indispensable. Knowledge of Dutch is an add on.
- You are familiar with ITIL and IT Service management (roles and processes)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- On call service 24/24 7/7.
- Demonstrate excellent written and oral communications skills with the ability to articulate technical solutions for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to plan, organize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously
- Demonstrate initiative, self-motivation, perseverance, patience and flexibility and being goal oriented with keen attention to detail.
- Capable of multi-tasking and working with a variety of people.
- A desire to exceed project, client and co-worker expectations
- Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language
