Opis stanowiska pracy
You will be responsible for the correct implementation, configuration and operation of all Windows technology based services within data center locations, including disaster recovery planning and audit support. You will work with the customer support and engineering teams to ensure services dependent upon Windows technologies performance. You will also manage a small team of System Engineers.
This role requires you to:
- Work with the Service Delivery Manager to identify and progress company and team objectives.
- Provide line management, support and guidance to direct reports, ensuring that performance expectations and development needs are met.
- Be the company subject matter expert on Windows technologies.
- Ensure all Windows technologies are actively managed to achieve optimal availability and performance.
- Establish and maintain standard practices on specification, configuration and management of the Windows infrastructure to support operation and growth within private and AWS data centers.
- Own and maintain Windows technologies based AWS server infrastructure, being responsible for correct capacity and being aware of associated cost of delivery.
- Ensure that Active Directory operation and associated services e.g. DNS are highly available.
- Work with the Cloud Solution Architect to ensure high quality and consistent architecture documentation exists for all existing and new solutions that include Windows technologies.
What is required for this job:
- At least 5 years' experience delivering Windows technology based services in an Internet facing environment.
- At least 2 years’ experience of managing a small team of engineers.
- Windows Server, IIS, SQL Server skills including configuration for high availability and recovery.
- Amazon Web Services environment operation and management experience.
- TCP/IP networking configuration and troubleshooting experience.
- Hands on knowledge of Windows Active Directory.
- SQL Server database administration experience including high availability configurations.
- ITIL based service management process operation.
- Windows patch management and DNS server management experience.
- Experience of implementing and maintaining internet facing Windows based services on Amazon Web Services.
