Your new company
For our client, international banking company located in Krakow, in order to meet the growing market demand for speed to market and to stay competitive in an challenging marketplace, we are looking for an experienced Technical Specialist to join a new formed team of Windows Desktop as a Leader.
Your new role
The Windows Desktop Leader will be responsible for leading, directing and influencing its team to achieve the aims of organisation and the "End User as a Service" platform.
You will be responsible for prioritising the work, clarifying requirements and replenishing the queue for upcoming projects periodically. You will work closely with business team management as you will need to provide technical and team management to all staff in your pod either directly or through managers. You will share line management duties with team leader but also you need to undertake some direct line management of the staff too.
Most importantly you will act as a change agent for continuous improvements by identifying and removing organisational barriers affecting the team, processes and own products.
What you'll need to succeed
You need to have flexibility and adaptability as this job will have constantly changing priorities and tasks that are complex and time sensitive. Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills with clear communication are very welcomed.
Deep knowledge of Windows desktop and linked technologies such as Windows 10, Windows 7, GPOs, native Microsoft Windows features, PC hardware, desktop build is a must.
Experience of areas such as Microsoft office, browsers, Java, Windows Application Development, Virtual Desktops, Windows Security Models and tooling, identity and access management tooling are essential.
Understanding cloud services, virtualization, API and modern software languages and experience of managing an agile infrastructure development team is wanted.
