ABB is taking a challenging project to transfer production of traction transformers from Geneva to Lodz. If you would like to become part of the new organization and be responsible for setting up welding processes, leading the company through the process of certification have a look on the tasks and requirements for the Welding Engineer that we are looking for.
Tasks:
- To prepare WPS and WPQR documents;
- To lead certification of welders;
- To lead the company through certification process according to ISO 3834, EN 15085;
- To set up the welding process to meet requirements of International Railway Industry Standard;
- To create and maintain work instructions;
- To order and install proper welding equipment;
- To create employee competency matrix, conduct trainings regarding welding processes;
- To cooperate with customers and suppliers;
- To lead audits of welding process;
- To frequent visits related to the audit of suppliers.
Requirements:
- Higher education degree from Mechanical Engineering Department;
- At least 5 years of experience in working with welding processes;
- At least 3 years of experience in railway industry;
- International Welding Certificate IWE;
- Knowledge of PN-EN ISO 3834 standard, PN-EN ISO 14731, ISO 9712, PN-EN ISO 15614, PN-EN ISO 17662;
- Good knowledge of English allowing to communicate in international environment easily;
- Good command of MS Office, knowledge of AutoCAD will be welcomed;
- Willingness to undertake the ambitious challenge of learning and continuing professional development;
- Self-reliance, responsibility, commitment and good work organization;
- Willingness to travel.
