Join our team of highly skilled security professionals who are working on a comprehensive end-to-end coverage for our clients’ IT security services needs.
We are looking for a Web Application Security Engineer to support the IBM Security Services Team.
Tasks & accountabilities
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Fill in role of Subject Matter Expert Web Application Firewalls (WAF)
- Perform IT services related to web and application filtering
- Vulnerability Management
- Develop and implement methods to adeptly leverage threat intelligence in Web and Application filtering
- Apply best practice WAF policies, maintenance, and optimization
- Develop customer specific WAF policies and requirements in conjunction with customer
- Deploy and tune the WAFs security controls
- Ensure that the security policies and procedures are followed
- Ensure our clients from different part of the world are protected
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- 3-5 experience with setting up threat intelligence in web and application filtering using Web Application Firewalls (WAF)
- 3-5 years of experience in projects related to Web and Application Security
- Excellent knowledge of cyber security threats, threat actors and their associated TTPs (e.g., cross-site scripting (XSS) and SQL injection)
- Experience with integration of WAF solution with SIEM technology (both the technical & as the functional aspects)
- University degree in Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or similar Experience in IT and engineering
- Ability to work in an international context and good communication skills
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and working relationships in a project-based / client-serving model, and to work closely with people at different levels of an organization
- English is a mandatory language requirement
Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise
- 3-5 years of experience in management consulting or Managed Security Services
- 3-5 years of experience in a professional services firm focused on systems integration projects
- Security certifications would be an advantage
