VAT Manager
For our client, an international production company we are currently looking for VAT Manager.
Location: Wrocław
Job description:
• Establish and communicate VAT processes to be followed by the accounting teams creating and the EMEA shared service team filing the VAT returns
• The maintenance and roll-out, in cooperating with the EU Finance Business IT Analyst, of the Avalara software to all the EU affiliates
• Maintenance and development of the SAP VAT code logic during the full SAP roll-out from the current SAP S4/Hana FICO implementation up the full SAP S4/HANA roll-out replacing legacy ERP systems
• Provide ongoing training & support for EMEA shared service center and other employees as necessary to upgrade the VAT knowledge of our accounting staff
• Technical review of changes in VAT law and assessment of its practical impact on our existing business to ensure VAT compliance. Provide technical oversight/guidance but also provide to-the-point answers to ad-hoc business question
• Drive VAT audits (refund and other)
• Support in specific projects important for the regional tax group (VAT or corporate) and or regional EMEA business including M&A, business restructuring transactions and tax planning and research
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Tax, Accounting or Law, Master degree is preferred
• 5+ years of experience in European VAT in multinational company and/or public accounting firm
• Interest and, preferably, experience working with both domestic and international operations
• Fundamental understanding of EU VAT law and its variety of local country implementation
• Experience with Avalara, SAP is a plus
