For our Client, well-known international company located in Krakow, we are currently looking for a person interested in the position of a Unix SME (DIGITAL Digital Infrastructure).
Your new role
Working on this position you will be part of a global team, working with colleagues in UK, Hong Kong, Canada, India, Poland and China, who are collectively responsible for end to end delivery of infrastructure to support high profile digital projects. Our ‘end to end’ delivery remit means ample opportunity for people to broaden their skills or cross train between technologies and products with freedom to deliver with minimal handoff between teams. You will build, support and maintain development and production Unix / Linux infrastructure supporting the digital business line throughout the entire project lifecycle. Moreover you will participate in the design of effective Unix / Linux configurations to support digital projects and provide guidance and support to colleagues within the team and to the wider digital IT community. As a Unix SME you will provide SME leadership in support of digital projects and deliverables and learn new technologies as they relate to the Unix / Linux domain and the digital line of business, for example Splunk, HSM and cloud technologies.
What you'll need to succeed
An ideal candidate should have in depth knowledge and experience with Red Hat Linux mainly running on VMWare virtual machines. Ideally candidates should have an awareness of some of cloud and cloud foundry technologies, clustering servers, HSM encryption, Storage management, Splunk and Networks – however a keenness to learn and embrace new technologies is just as important. We are looking for candidates with ability and commitment to undertake out of hours support and work.
