Our Client, an international organization, a globally recognized brand, due to regional expansion is looking for a Transport Manager Central Eastern Europe, located in Warsaw. This is a role where you can truly make your own mark and bring new ideas to help create a step change in the approach to the Operations for the Company. The Company is looking for a talented Road Transport Manager with demonstrated experience driving process improvement and cost reductions.
This Manager will be responsible for delivery of value through safe and efficient road transport operations in the Region. This role will manage road transport service contracts and will collaborate with other suppliers. The Manager will be responsible for developing partnerships with international transportation providers. Achieving such aspiration goals will require this individual to insist on the highest standards, develop new processes, and drive continuous improvement activities internally and externally. The position manages a team of around 12 people in 6 countries, driving operational efficiency and team motivation.
The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree (Logistics or comparable discipline preferred). An ideal candidate demonstrate experience in a senior transport management position, excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, good analytical skills, experience in management across countries (virtual set-up), have managed financial budgets and annual P&L responsibility. We are looking for a person who is characterized by showing initiative and being able to handle many tasks simultaneously. The candidate has also experience in negotiations and contracts management, dealing with 3rd Parties. Also understands the linkages among key performance indicators and the impact of continuous improvement tools on those indicators. Fluency in English is a must.
