For our Client, production company from automotive industry we are looking for Tooling Engineer.
Location: Katowice
Your responsibilities:
• Ensure profitable and successful tooling development phase
• Support the project team to develop best practice production concept
• Support the process and design team on the P and DFMEA creation
• Develops tooling concept in alignment with production concept and in line with budget targets
• Conduct tooling feasibility, risk analyses and set up specifications for proto- and production tools
• Ensure that tooling spec is according company standards including lessons learned
• Ensures the legal compliance, safety and declaration of the tools
• Create internal request for tooling RFQ and purchase order
• Evaluate tool quotations and approve them from technical point of view
• Tool tracking and milestone approval during tool manufacturing
• Tool acceptance and recording at the toolmaker
• Set up and maintain tooling structure in PLM
• Define and update tooling standards based on technology watch and lessons learned
• Support production phase until end of production
• Tool try out, fine tuning, and hand over preparation to the plant or prototyping
• Ensures tooling readiness and performance in due time (commissioning and receipt)
• Reporting and follow up the action plan of tool progress and try out results
• Support Engineering Changes with focus on technical feasibility and profitability
• Support continuous improvement
• Ensure continuous improvement through regular records of lessons learnt from Product
Development, Product Validation and Serial Production phases
• Support MOVE and VA/VE activities
• Propose tool supplier for BGEU supplier panel
• Quality – Safety – Environment:
• Ensure that the Tooling development meets the requirements of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO
• Ensure that Tooling is conducted and documented according to quality system.
• Ensure compliance of mandatory and regulatory quality, safety and environmental standards.
Requirements:
• Engineer/Technician (toolmaker)
• Experience in developing production tooling
• Experience in technical project management
• Experience in Automotive Industry
• Target driven
• Quick learner with good time management skills
• Excellent problem solver, capable of thinking “outside the box”
• Strong team player
• Clear and effective communication skills with internal and external interfaces
• Independent, highly organized, able to cope with variable workloads
• Self-motivated, committed and accountable
• Able to make decisions within his/her perimeter of responsibility
• Willing to work in an international and multicultural environment
• Fluent English spoken and written
