For our client, a company which specialises in sample management and offers software products and consultancy services that help clients to improve the supply of samples (compounds, biologicals and reagents) to their vital research processes, we are looking for a TEST ENGINEER
Your new role
As a Test Engineer you will:
- Perform manual testing based on pre-existing test specifications. This involves testing and re-testing of the Mosaic software product, as new features are added.
- Document the results in the form of test records using Microfocus ALM.
- Create incident reports and communicate progress.
- Write new test plans and modify existing test plans for both new software and changes to existing software.
In the future:
- Automate user interface tests.
- Write test plans based on functional specifications.
- Perform on-site acceptance testing with customers.
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous testing experience (preferably having experience working in Scrum and/or Kanban)
- Familiar with Windows
- Familiarity with SQL (in particular Oracle), ability to write simple SQL queries
- Bright, ideally with a good degree from a leading university.
- Previously testing experience.
- A thorough and organised person, able to estimate and work to deadlines.
- Good internal and external verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent written English, good spoken English (this means good enough for internal use in organisation. It doesn’t have to be good enough for communication with our customers or writing user manuals).
