Test engineer

You will be joining the existing Agile team within Investment Bank to develop capabilities on Cloud with state-of-the-art technologies. You will work closely with Architect, Developers and Security professionals. Currently one of team biggest focuses is cloud migration.

You'll be working with a team focusing on Test Automation with DevOps skill using sets of tools to ensure rapid turnaround of test packs and fast feedback about application health.

• Work collaboratively across the organisation

• Get into the details, be hands on and find the biggest challenges in our current process and innovate solutions to improve productivity and quality of experience
• Building scalable, modular and highly maintainable testing frameworks
• Developing coding standards and process workflows for the development and maintenance of automated testing frameworks
• Advocate and evangelise the approach of thinking test first
• Work in collaboration with DevOps and Engineering team members to implement Test automation best practices
• Drive the transformation from an after the fact manual Quality Assurance bias, mind set and practice to a pro-active test first test engineering flow

• Knowledge about Agile development practices and methodologies (Scrum, XP, Kanban etc.)
• Strong understanding of ISTQB foundation Software Testing or similar concepts (Shift-left, Test Pyramid, Risk Based testing, etc)
• Hands on experience in building maintainable test automation services based on proven OSS solutions for specific application layer front-end (at least one of: WebDriverIO, Cypress, Playwright, Selenide, etc), back-end (at least one of: RestAssured, Postman, Spock, Mocha, Chai, Graphql related libs etc)
• Experience with programming Language (at least one of: Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, C#)
• Familiarity with unit testing framework (at least one of: JUnit, TestNG, NUnit, Jasmine, JEST, Karma, Boost.Test, etc)
• Very good insight of CI/CD concept including usage of build tools (at least one of: Maven, Gradle, NPM, Yarn, Pip, etc)
• Excellent testing experience and sense of all stages of product delivery lifecycle
• Experience in using containers (Docker)
• Experience working with GitLab or similar
• Excellent analytical skills

• Automated Orchestration approaches e.g. Kubernetes.
• Monitoring tools: Splunk, AppDynamics & ELK Pipeline (Kibana, Logstash, Elastic Search)
• Automated performance testing tools (Jmeter, Gatling, k6, etc)
• Unix (RedHat Linux) and Windows command line tools
• Working with cloud environments - Microsoft Azure preferred
