Test Automation Engineer
Location: Kraków
The Financial Intelligence Unit provides timely and reliable intelligence on potential Financial Crime Risks posed by customers, prospects, sectors and whole markets to enable better risk management decisions. The Financial Intelligence Unit:
Combines automated and non-technical intelligence gathering & assessment capabilities in order to build the deepest possible view of any given client, and determine the nature & severity of any financial crime risks
Works on both a proactive & reactive basis to identify financial crime risks in customers across all Lines of Business
Delivers both strategic & tactical assessments, to inform decision-making about prospects, clients, transactions, jurisdictions, sectors, trends, services & products
Has a global reach with regional expertise that is aligned to strategically important countries and those that appear to present the most severe financial crime risk
More recently, we implemented the new platform (Financial Intelligence Platform) is a big data platform, holding customer, account and transaction data across all Lines of Business. Key technologies include: Hadoop, Ab Initio, Elastic Search, SAS, plus a range of visualisation & analysis tools.
Key Accountabilities:
We require experienced testing engineers to expand our automated test suites
The roles will involve taking existing manual tests and writing automated equivalents, as well as expanding our coverage with new automated tests
It is a hands-on role, working closely with software developers (mainly in the UK, but could be China as well in the future)
Requirements:
Any previous administration experience with JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, Bitbucket
Previous experience using Git
Experience with IntelliJ IDEA or similar
Any experience with build tools such as, Maven or Gradle etc.
Any previous experience with Java
Must understand concepts such as Continuous Delivery, TDD & BDD, code coverage metrics
Familiarity with common testing frameworks such as Junit, Selenium, Cucumber
Experience in manual software testing, e.g. exploratory testing
Some previous experience writing shell scripts
Experience with RESTful API testing is a plus
