TOMS Polska is looking for Lab Technicians to be part of our new prestige project of establishing a new chocolate factory in Nowa Sól.
This position has a direct ability to impact product quality and food safety and ensure only quality product is delivered to consumers and customers. The Lab Technician position is a part of our Quality Department and requires interfacing with Product Development and Production Departments.
The key responsibilities of this job will include:
- Performance of analysis for physicochemical, sensory, rheology and microbiology section for raw materials, semi-finished goods and finished goods
- Interpretation of data and reports on trend/data analysis
- Support production in decisions related to quality and food safety
- Review and assist with updates of manual and methods of laboratory management system
- Tracking, releasing or holding finished product from production
- Support root cause analysis and provide information on deposition decisions for held product
- Support traceability exercises, product trace and recall procedures
- Audits GMPs, procedures and paperwork on the production floor
- Daily equipment maintenance
Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry or other related field, required
- Minimum 2-3 years of analytical laboratory experience, preferred in food industry
- Proficient in general laboratory techniques
- Proficient and knowledgeable in microbial techniques a plus
- Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards, as well as lab management system
- Good verbal and written English communication skills
- Accurate, able to work with deadlines
- Word, excel, Power point; experience in working in SAP will be an advantage
