Technical Product Manager/Product Owner
Location: Remote PolandThe Order Management Services team is focused on designing, developing and maintaining variety of Order (aka 'travel record', according to IATA's New Distribution Capability (NDC) services running on open systems. We are responsible for Order data distribution to internal and external customers, hosting multiple Order management services and building the Order data store in modern, scalable, microservice based and Cloud-oriented architecture. We employ the latest technologies and practices to handle high-volume of transactions supporting millions of traveling passengers daily. Our team is global, with largest decision-driving group based in Krakow, and implements mature Scrum processes.
First deliverables will include building and enhancing to Shopping Engine and Retailing Mixer to achieve the following
- Shopping Engine to be able to offer air solution for LCC using Radixx content fare/rule/schedule and availability
- Retailing Mixer to support Offer/Order API for Shopping Engine
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process work requests that come from all stakeholders needing work you're your area
- Communicate with stakeholders/product managers requesting work from your area
- Prioritize incoming work via a 1-n list and communicate priority to scrum teams
- Prioritize product backlog according to 1-n list and work with teams on quarterly commitments
- Be the product's subject-matter expert (SME) inside development teams, guide teams
- Work closely with Architecture or/and Product partners on defining requirements
- Research and analyze new feature requirements and how they fit into existing product
- Initiate and translate product roadmap into manageable product backlog for development
- Refine and order product/release backlogs in collaboration with the development team
- Work closely with software developers as part of an agile/scrum team, creating User Stories, Acceptance Criteria and test cases based on business requirements
- Accept/sign-off team stories at completion
- Present technical problems in a comprehensible way to the business
- Create functional documentation
- Deliver product within the timeline and budget
SKILLS
MUST
- Analytical/systems thinking, engineering rigor and technical acumen
- Technical writing skills, documentation experience
- Ability to handle competing priorities, identify dependencies, and prioritize clearly
- Experience with Rally, Jira is an advantage
- Experience working in and leading Agile/Scrum teams, software development lifecycle
- Experience interacting with multiple stakeholders to deliver complex functionality spanning multiple teams
- Familiarity with web services is desired
- Initiative, ownership, positive attitude, flexibility, organization, problem solving skills
- Excellent English communication skills; written and verbal
