Our Client - Europeanleading supplier of semi-trailers is looking for a Team Leader for an Asset Control Team.

On this position you will:

• Manage the accounting activities of the Asset Control accounting team
• Ensure integrity of the asset sub-ledger and records in accordance with IFRS and Local GAAP and accounting policies, and ensure a strong system of internal controls over the accuracy of asset reporting
• Ensure ownership of an end-to-end process in asset control, improve process & interface controls to speed up actuals delivery in an accurate manner
• Responsible for the development of Asset Control staff
• Support Asset Control monthly and quarterly financial close within the assigned deadlines
• Responsible for ensuring the reconciliation on GL and sub ledger, in line with local GAAP and IFRS
• Maintain relationships with internal stakeholders including regional offices and HQ functions in Amsterdam
• Support the Tax & Controllership team (HQ) in ensuring appropriate Asset Control back up and documentation during year-end audit cycle
• Prepare and review Balance Sheet reconciliations (control the inflows and outflows of the Asset Control accounts)
• Ensure all appropriate back up documentation, sign-offs and overviews are obtained and archived in an appropriate manner
• Provide ad’hoc business support



What you'll need to succeed
• 5+ years of experience in Finance of which the last 2+ years in a team lead position leading a group of accounting staff in an overseas SSC
• Bachelor degree in accounting, finance or similar field
• Working knowledge of General accepted accounting principles (IFRS)
• Thorough knowlegde of working with financial system and applications
• Pan- European and/or lease industry experience is an advantage
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel), VBA & Access will be an advantage
• Fluent in English – additional languages preferred
• Ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organisation and business
• Optimistic & Can-do approach to problem solving
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, in a multi-cultural environment
• Must be legally authorized to work in the European Union
