Client Details
Our Client is a global company from automotive sector.
Description
- Identify, manage, mitigate and control key tax risks and exposures working alongside internal and external
- parties such us:
o Tax Manager,
o Tax (local & foreign) Coordinator,
o Tax (local & foreign) Team,
o Legal Entities (Group Clients),
o EMEA Group Tax Team,
o SSC teams within the FCA Services locally and EMEA-wide (e.g. OTC, PTP, Finance, Customs, Legal, Payroll, Process Improvement),
o External Tax & Legal advisors,
o Tax Authorities.
- Initiate execution of a business/process/system/other changes related to tax changes, ensuring engagement of appropriate partners (see above).
- Develop and execute the role of the main Polish tax expert within the Polish sector (by monitoring the changes in the applicable tax law provisions on an on-going basis, providing necessary information to the Group Clients and giving support in their implementation in practice).
- Provide advice to the Business and to the Group Tax on specific tax questions and issues.
- Co-manage and coordinate correspondence with tax authorities and other relevant authorities.
- Ensuring data archiving requirements related to taxes are met so that prior period tax audits can be managed effectively with minimum recourse to external advisors.
- To continually review processes, seek to communicate and implement changes to improve efficiency.
- Closely cooperate with Tax Manager and Tax Coordinators within the scope of responsibilities with openness to learn and grow into the next expected role of Tax Manager.
Profile
- Knowledge of the Polish tax law provisions applicable for manufacturing & trading companies carrying out domestic and international transactions (belonging to multinational corporations).
- General tax law, CIT, VAT (PL&EU) must have. TP, PIT, MDR, G&A, etc. - nice to have.
- Fluency in business tax advisory and business tax compliance areas.
- Litigation, other areas - nice to have.
- Soft skills: respectfulness, honesty, transparency, readiness for constant learning, growing and (from time to time, depending on the periodicity of tax legislation and business cycle) high pace work.
- Tax advisor license - not required, welcomed.
- Accounting proficiency - basic, level of tax advisory exam. will be appropriate.
- Professional experience in similar corporate (international environment), preferably in tax advisory and/or tax compliance - minimum 5 years overall, with at least 2 years in tax advisory/tax compliance.
- Management skills - ability to influence others in order to get the job done.
- Experience in direct human resources management - not required, welcomed.
- Languages - Polish C2/native, English - at least strong B2.
- Modern office work fluency - high. (e.g. spreadsheets, presentations, email management, working within the team - in various models, local, international, remote and stationary, various seniority of team members - and solo).
- ERP fluency - nice to have. SAP preferably.
- Education - Bachelor's degree in Law/Economics/Finance/Accounting (or equivalent) - at least.
