System Owner

The System Owner will be responsible for technical operations of IT systems and services.
She/He will be ultimately responsible for the system health, monitoring, SLA definition, training of 1st and 2nd level staff including all systems changes to ensure proper operations. This team will be setup in the Central IT function of the Group.
One of the core responsibilities will be Vendor Management.

Client Details

Our Client is an international Group with Wester European capital. Their core business is manufacturing of industrial chemical products. There is a central organization focusing all IT functions in which this position is allocated.

Description

  • Ensure and control application/system operation/platform operation
  • Act as escalation manager
  • Perform Application Consulting to business partner
  • Ensure proper knowledge transfer to 1st and 2nd level
  • Manage Service and System budget
  • Manage business critical Incidents to meet business requirements
  • Ensure Application, Driver and relevant Middleware compatibility and operations
  • Technical operation, including corrective and pro-active maintenance
  • Change and Release Management
  • Meet availability and performance targets
  • Plan availability, license, operational costs and capacity of the relevant application continuous improvement on systems
  • Operational tasks and help in the implementation of several proof of concepts of future proof Cloud infrastructure services in alignment with Enterprise architecture and service owner
  • Perform tasks and activities with minimal oversight in a team environment; interact regularly with team members, principal investigators and project managers.
  • Work with other Service and System Owners to develop next generation of working environment with regards to cloud computing
  • Understanding of technical solutions and systems (i.e. server setup, cloud services and management across multiple environments - desktop, cluster, cloud, etc., Service Management)
  • Work with Project Teams to initiate the project delivery for the implementation of future services

Profile

  • Managed/Supported Cloud based and on prem systems
  • 6-8 years experience in an IT Service Management environment
  • Min. 5 years in an international environment
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Substantial experience in working in international IT Service Organizations,
  • Administrative experience in cloud services and infrastructures, such as Microsoft Azure and AWS will be considered as a plus
  • Experience in other infrastructure services related to virtualization or network

Working knowledge is preferred in at least one of the following related-skillsets (one of):

  • Service Management (based on ITIL)
  • Vendor Management
  • Networks design and configuration

One or more of below will be an additional value:

  • Cloud Certifications (Azure,AWS)
  • experience with SaaS platforms
  • Database Skills (MSSQL, Oracle)
  • Backup & Restore in cloud environment
  • Wintel
  • Application Monitoring
  • AD services
  • IAM/IDM
