Job Description
This is a 3rd level position providing in depth support on customer infrastructure as well as acting as an escalation point for lower level support.
Requirements
- Strong troubleshooting abilities
- At least 3 years of experience working on a similar position
- Very good knowledge of English
- Ability to quickly learn new products and existing ones
- Logical thinking
- Ability to utilise all tools available to resolve 95% of issues at the first time of aski
- Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008/Small Business Server 2003
- Terminal Services / Citrix
- Active Directory
- Exchange Server 2000/2003/2007
- Some SQL Server 2000 / 2005 Experience Helpful
- Firewall/Routers. (Checkpoint Firewall, Layer 3 switches)
- WAN configurations – Site to Site VPNs Routing / NAT configurations
- Strong IP skills (Good understanding of TCP /IP and ISO Model)
- Good understanding of server hardware and storage (i.e. RAID sets on servers, SANS, tape drives).
- MCSE Preferable but not necessary
- Citrix and Virtualisation (VMWare, MS HyperV, Xenserver)
- Ability to communicate well with all levels of staff at client sites.
- Ability to quickly build rapport and gain client confidence
- Ability to work individually and as a team
- Ability to follow company procedures and methods
- Availabilityto work out of hours / weekends if necessary
