The Companys Devices Supply Chain is looking for an analytical & detail-Reverse Materials Planner to join our Material Planning & Strategy team, an impactful group responsible for setting the right material strategies throughout an entire product’s lifecycle to enable efficient production predictably, reliably, and at the right cost. This person will focus on supply chain strategy and program management relating to the repair and refurbishment of produced devices. 

 

As a Reverse Materials Planner, you will own the management and visibility to KPI’s associated with Reverse Materials Management. You will partner with stakeholders to develop comprehensive strategies related to repair and warranty inventories and support our repair plans. You will continuously align the organizational strategy with changing business models, establishing systemic, scalable ways to drive sustainable results in the reverse materials supply chain.

 

Additionally, we are midst of a large transformation effort to modernize our supply chain. To aid this transformation, you will be leading process improvement, change management, and tool development as a business user for several high-priority initiatives to optimize supply chain performance. The ability to solve complex problems, work cross-functionally, and creating clarity from complexity is a must!

  • Supply Chain Management:
      • Work with internal and external stakeholders to improve the reverse supply chain and ongoing product support throughout entire product lifecycle
      • Ensure strategies to accommodate challenges and changes in the business environment (long lead times, product expansion, increased competition, etc.) and effectively translates those strategies into deliverables
  • Plan and procure materials required to sustain repair and refurbishment operations by keeping track and control of weeks of supply.
    • Develop and communicate sound plans by determining the time, complexity, and processes required to successfully achieve the business objectives
    • Manage complex and varied product lifecycles and product transition strategies

 

  • Demonstrated Business Results:
    • Work with internal and external stakeholders to negotiate win-win outcomes to improve repair landscape
    • Influence external stakeholders to adopt best practices aligning to Microsoft expectations
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain with 5+ years of prior experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, procurement, manufacturing operations, or a field that demands complex quantitative analysis.
  • Experience in reverse (repair, refurbishment, aftermarket) supply chain dynamics is a plus.
  • Detail oriented, ability to communicate complex problems and solutions, strong drive to collaborate, strong bias for action to close out problems, very comfortable working with numbers.
  • Strong process/system background and proven ability to rapidly understand, use and drive improvements in new processes/systems
  • Strong critical thinking and ability to drive resolution in ambiguous situations
  • Demonstrated business judgment, executive communication/presentation skills, and persistent attention to detail
  • Strong analytical capabilities & experience with time-series modeling, optimization, and statistical analysis (Advanced Excel, basic SQL, basic R/Python, regression analysis) is a plus
