Supply Chain Innovation Planner

Location: Rotterdam, Netherlands
Our client is a big multinational in the FMCG industry in Rotterdam. 

You have? A Bachelor or Master in Science, Engineering or supply chain management
You are? Strong with project management, as well as analytical, numeric and good IT skills.

Intro
The Supply Chain Innovation Planner/ Category Project Planner is part of the brand innovation team and represent all aspects of the end to end supply chain into innovation projects delivery and other product changes in your portfolio.
You manage complex innovation and portfolio optimisation projects across several cross-category brands. Together with the cross-functional team  you are responsible to deliver projects (products!) to the markets on time in full.
In this position you will become Process/team champion on you category topics as well as first point of contact for several factories and country SC teams.
    
Background information
For a defined part of the Category portfolio:
• Innovation implementation for the end to end supply chain;
• Management of all portfolio changes i.e. innovation, renovation, reallocation, technical change and VIP projects;
• Portfolio management and complexity reduction;
• Interfaces between Marketing, Research & Development (R&D) and various Supply Chain functions, such as Category Procurement Operations, Product Group Quality, Innovation Managers at sourcing sites, Global SC, 3rdParty Manufacturing.


Responsibilities & Accountabilities
• Deliver projects on time in full launch with no quality issues of all innovation projects:
- Project responsibility for the end to end supply chain, with key accountability to ensure all plan, source, make and deliver activities are completed on time in full;
- Ensure all innovation implementations are planned taking into account the delivery of the key Category KPI’s (Cost/Service/Stocks/Obsoletes);
- Adhere and enforce Category business principles, guidelines and threshold criteria.
- Ensure effective communication with peers & stakeholders in Marketing, Research & Development (R&D), Planning, Procurement, Quality Assurance (QA), Factories, 3rd Party Manufacturing (3PM) organisation;
- Support Risk Assessments (Technical Risk Assessment (TRA) & Supply Chain Risk Assessment) for critical projects at each project stage;

• Support Supply Planning team with the implementation of all other technical changes within the portfolio:
- Responsibility for the end to end supply chain delivery of non-innovation changes including VIP projects, reallocation requests, regulatory changes etc.;
- Work directly with Marketing Operations (BD) on all MSO requests received from the MSO’s (innovation and renovation projects);
- Accountability for the SC approval and implementation of all MSO requests.

• Ownership of the Category sourcing matrices and all Category master data:
- Responsibility for all master data code creation with the MDM Operations team in Katowice as well as maintenance;
- Responsibility and ownership for the maintenance and issuing of all sourcing matrices for innovation and non-innovation projects.

• Support in managing the portfolio and complexity reduction initiatives:
- Support and ensure delivery of all Perfect portfolio projects;
- Ensure continuous improvement and complexity reduction in all innovation projects;
- Support the complexity reduction projects


Skills & Experience
• Bachelor of Science Degree, preferably in Science, Engineering or Logistics;
• An enthusiastic self-starter with excellent communication skills and an ability to form effective working relationships at all levels within the business and with people not co-located;
• Strong analytical, data managenent, numeric and IT skills, including the use of SAP and Excel, are essential in this role;
• Supply Chain operations, planning and/or project management experience is beneficial;
• Knowledge of either R&D / Plan / Make / Source and understanding of the principles of the others;
• Understanding of: Finance / Quality in Innovation for Manufacturing;
