Subject Matter Expert - Intercompany Services

This role is a critical senior project management role to build the bases for an Intercompany Service organization (ICS). The role is essential for building IC processes within SAP Hana S4 and outside SAP with additional digital tools if required, define a team structure and supporting to setup and to build a new ICS team. There are opportunities to transform this role into an intercompany leader role.  

The future Intercompany Services team will be also responsible for monitoring affiliate inventory levels for their respective products and proactively providing recommendations to key stakeholders to ensure healthy inventory levels. 

The ICS Subject Matter Expert provides process-, technical- (global) and project leadership (EMEA) for Company`s Intercompany Service Team. The main areas are import/export logistics, productivity, SAP processes, compliance and regulations.

 

Responsibilities: 

• Develop expertise &  knowledge for ICS and build the base for an ICS team for:
  • Shipping & logistics and customer service
  • Import/export compliance, regulations, logistics, SAP, plus order to cash processes and documentation
  • IC- and customer return processes,
  • Triangulation and intercompany pricing – understand master data requirements and automation steps
• Develop, train and coach supply chain professionals; drive engagement and collaboration  
• Understand Elanco`s business needs and have the ability to translate new business requirements into our replenishment processes
• Communicate clearly to key stakeholders any changes in project deliverables 
• Build an internal and external network with SAP Power Users, Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Quality, Finance, and other key stakeholders 
• Engage with cross-functional teams designing new logistics, shipping and customer service processes such as new SAP plants, new legal entities, new warehouses, new products, new CMO’s or 4PL logistic models
• Provide guidance on efficient “exception handling” management within the agreed replenishment framework and supply agreements with IC customers

 

Requirements: 

• Deep understanding of Supply Chain concepts, Customer Service, digital tools and business processes including knowledge in Manufacturing Operations, Planning, Logistics, EX/IM, SAP, Warehousing, understanding in Quality and Regulatory
• Degree in Supply Chain Management or applicable experience  
• Customer service focus, proven record of success in resolving conflicts and problem solving 
• Effectively collaborates cross-functionally (Commercial, R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, Marketing, Sales), at the leadership and broader team level 
• Excellent communicator; ability to influence broadly 
• Experience of intercompany processes, manufacturing customer service or shipping roles

 

Additional Preferences:

• Good to very good knowledge of SAP Logistics modules: Sales and Distribution, Logistics Execution and materials management
• Good knowledge of Export Documentation & Export Regulations
• Project Management experience 
• APICS certification
