ROLE DESCRIPTION

RESPONSIBILITIES

- End responsibility within our projects for all process engineering from the quotation phase, over design till qualification and handover to the client in projects for Food & Nutrition.
- Act as SME for process & equipment, driving requirements in the design/selection of process equipment.
- Elaboration of Process Concepts: Layouts, Flow Diagrams (PFD's) and P&IDs, heat and mass balances.
- Analyse and provide resolution of technical issues, perform process engineering tasks and design reviews.
- Ensure incorporation of all cGMP, client specific quality requirements, support client audits if needed.
- Supervision and coaching of Food Process Engineers in the team.
- Participate in continuous development of strength of the local Process Engineering department.
- Know, apply and develop process engineering policies and standards.
- Follow and anticipate process technology and design industry trends and knowledge transfer to the team.

REQUIREMENTS

- Master's degree in Civil, Industrial or Bio-Engineering, with a specialisation in (food) process engineering.
- +10 years of work experience as a process engineer in the Food industry.
- Knowledge of several of typical unit operations like (spray) drying, temperature treatments, evaporation, separation technologies, absorption, distillation, fermentation, mixing, filling and final packaging.
- You are fluent in Dutch / French and English. Knowledge of German is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and industry (cGMP) standards through proven experience.
- You are committed, flexible, creative, assertive, communicative, motivated and well-organised. You like working in a team but you can also function in an independent and safe way.
- You have a strong client focus and easily build trust. You make your expertise evident and can manage a team.
