Specjalista ds. Kalkulacji
Lokalizacja: GliwiceFor our Client an International production company, we are looking for the candidate on the position of Cost Estimation Engineer
Main responsibilities:
- Review and interpret customer technical drawings and any supporting documents to determine materials and method of manufacture to meet customer’s requirements
- Determine the most cost and time efficient manufacturing process (lead times, routings) to produce parts according to customer’s specifications
- Work with functional experts to drive best-in-class cost structure and assist with capital planning and capacity requirements
- Co-ordinate RFQ feasibility validation with sales, manufacturing and engineering
- Analyze the impact of various strategies - such as footprint, make vs buy, changes in equipment, etc.
- Collect information for proper quotations from external sources and other functions (quality, engineering, etc.) as appropriate
- Estimate the cost of labor, materials and sub-contracting from blueprints and specifications
- Evaluate tooling needs and determine associated tooling costs (jigs, templates, cutting tools, etc.)
- Investigate and resolves inaccuracies or discrepancies in quoted BOMs and/or routings as required
- Define delivery date of first product as well as ramp up plan together with other departments
Requirements:
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and documents
- Higher education confirmed by a master's degree in technical science (mechanical engineering)
- Understanding of the manufacturing processes and plant operations
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in steel structure manufacturing would be a plus
- Excellent knowledge of costing of different manufacturing processes including machining, welding and painting
