What you’ll do as a Solution Architect for eCommerce

What you’ll do as a Solution Architect for eCommerce
You will help to turn solutions into reality. You’ll lead all technical decisions relating to our E-commerce platform, and design complex cloud-native commerce solutions. You will be part of a team of architects and be responsible for designing composable architectures with best-of-breed enterprise technologies. You will coach and guide our development teams to ensure a high quality of technical delivery with a consistent approach.
As part of the role you will:
- Lead the architectural roadmap of our eCommerce platform
- Partner with other architects in the team to design a composable eCommerce architecture
- Work closely with the platform architect to ensure eCommerce architecture consistency with our broader digital platforms
- Create and present proof-of-concepts whenever required
- Create and present architecture proposals
- Liaise with our product teams
- Carrying out technical audits and design reviews
- Evaluate new technologies and software trends
Who you are:
- Solid experience as a Solution Architect with experience in architecture definition and technical leadership in digital projects
- Demonstrable experience with designing and delivering complex technical PaaS/SaaS solutions
- Experience with Micro-services architectures and other architectural frameworks
- Experience in technical team lead positions, excellent understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software development such as SCRUM
- Strong E-commerce Architecture experience with understanding/hands-on experience on digital platforms technologies like CMS, PIM, and e-commerce engines
- Prior experience with an eCommerce platform such as SAP Commerce, Big Commerce, Shopify or Magento.
- Strong understanding of API-design principles, tools, API-development, and testing techniques
- Hands-on development background including a good understanding of enterprise systems, including cloud, microservices, and decentralised systems
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Able to gain trust with clients and take their projects to the next level
- Ability to manage and lead teams of experts and share solution architecture methodologies
- Leadership skills to work comfortably with senior colleagues, up to and including C-level
