THE COMPANY
Our client is a professional Pharmaceutical organization, based in Zuid-Holland Netherlands.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
As associate scientist you have a wide knowledge of multiple analytical methods like HPLC/UPLC-methods, capillary electrophoresis (CZE) and SDS-PAGE. You will use your experience and knowledge of analytical methods to support problem solving and sample analysis. In this function you will lead a small team consisting of 2-3 technicians as well as interacting with (senior) scientists.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Executing analytical methods to do sample analysis for internal (& external) customers.
• Data analysis and reporting.
• Being assay responsible.
• Responsible for documentation e.g. CofA’s and trending reports.
• Up Stream Development, Down Stream Development and/or Assay development experience is preferable.
• Problem solving on analytical equipment/methods.
• Participating in Continuous Improvement projects using the LEAN methodology.
The position involves handling of biologically active substances.
REQUIREMENTS
• BSc./Msc. in Analytical Chemistry, Biotechnology, Life Sciences or related fields.
• Experience to develop and/or to mentor direct reports or students.
• Minimal 4-5 year experience as (associate) scientist with a wide range of analytical techniques such as HPLC/UPLC-methods, capillary electrophoresis, SDS-PAGE, preferably in a diagnostic and/or pharmaceutical environment.
• Ability to plan work within changing time-frames, work to deadlines and within a team environment.
• Experience with internal and/or external client interaction is preferable.
• Experience in good documentation and quality systems are also preferable.
