Senior Software Engineer / Architect
Looking for an experienced software engineer/architect open to relocating to Ireland from Eastern Europe!
Client Details
Our client is a leading multinational technology company with a large investment in its Irish Research & Development Centre, currently expanding and looking for candidates open to relocating to Ireland from Eastern Europe.
You will be working out of the Dublin office and may need to travel to meet with other European or China SRE teams. These are the teams you will be a mentor and problem solver for, and they are looking after the day to day and short-term projects, where you will be focused more on medium and long-term goals.
Description
- The innovation, efficient operation, robustness & scalability of the cloud infrastructure
- Design & implementation of the high - availability development architecture, realizing elastic scaling, automatic failover within seconds, and traffic limiting degradation to ensure efficient and stable running of large-scale clusters
- Optimizing the system performance on the live network, improve the usage of infrastructure resources, increase system stability & ensure service stability
- Analysing & resolving problems in production & quickly respond to, locate & resolve emergencies
- Continuously improve user experience based on cloud service characteristics & requirements
Profile
- Be a team player with a pragmatic getting things done attitude & an open mind
- Be flexible to work from home & relocate to Ireland once Covid 19 is under control
- Be willing to take on a wide variety of tasks, design, code, operation, audit of other teams designs & practices & training
- Have a large - scale distributed system development & maintenance experience, fault handling capability, source code-level development capability
- Have experience of operating large scale user facing production systems & being on call
- Have familiarity designing infrastructure to run at true scale
- Experience with common open - source distributed cache systems with one or more of the following: Redis, Memcached, amqp protocol, RabbitMQ, Kafka, and Zookeeper; DNS/Tomcat/JRE/ETCD
- Installation and deployment of LVS, Nginx, and other open-source LB tools and have Layer 4 and Layer 7 protocols experience as well as different load balancing algorithms (for example, Hash based on source IP).
- Database such as MySQL/ MongoDB
