Currently, for our Client – a leading outsourcing company - we are looking for an candidate for the position of: Senior Project Manager
Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for all aspects of the project over the entire life cycle of the project;
- Familiar with system scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, to effectively coordinate the activities of the team;
- Ensure business requirements are met or exceeded, on time and within budget in line with business targets;
- Define Critical Success Factors, Key Performance Indicators and other objectives that must be met by the project;
- Identify and engage all key stakeholders, contributors and business and technical resources that must participate in the assigned projects and ensure that contributors are motivated to complete assigned tasks within the parameters of the project plan;
- Create required project artefacts using group standard tools;
- Produce effective progress reports for assigned projects to keep management appraised of project status, major risks and issues, scope changes, resource changes and milestone achievement or misses
- Facilitate and chair regular project meetings and follow-up with project team members as required to focus on business and operational issues or technical issues, documenting, assigning and monitoring all project issues to ensure clearance with minimal impact to project progress;
- Manage project budget, ensure that costs are controlled, tracked and accurate effort and expenditure figures are provided to Finance & Planning
Requirements:
- Degree educate
- 5+ years’ experience as Senior Project Manager within Financial Service
- Experienced in delivering regulatory programmes. FATCA, CRS or Customer Screening background preferred
- Proven experience in an IT Development or Project Management environment with in-depth specialisation in project delivery and management.
Desirable skills:
- 2+ years Agile experience
- Understanding and implementation of key agile artefacts
- Understanding of Agile metrics and reporting. Release burn downs, Sprint Burn downs, Velocity etc.
- User story mapping
- Story point sizing and ranking according to value based priorities for evaluation of a Minimum Viable Product
- Active in Agile meetings when required for retrospectives, scrum of scrum
- Release planning in coordination with other Agile teams for overall sprint planning
