Senior Power BI Engineer

You'll be working in the Cross Divisional team in Poland within Risk IT area. We are a global team with core presence in London, US and Poland.

*Work with our business partners in Group Treasury and Asset and Liability Management in an agile and collaborative environment.*Analyze and fully understand business requirements.*Provide BI solutions that will solve business problems and enable business benefits leveraging our increasingly Azure Cloud based pool of Liquidity and Funding data.*Design, plan, and deliver best-in-class dashboards and reports for the Treasury Liquidity and Funding line of business leveraging the Power BI online service.*Help us in our journey as we move to Azure and develop Azure-native applications.*Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing requirements and initiatives to support and enhance our existing applications.*Ensure proper operational controls and procedures are implemented.

*Extensive development experience with Microsoft Power BI, working with large datasets and utilizing advanced features of the toolset and the online Power BI service.*Thorough understanding of data modeling and OLAP principles (e.g. Kimball methodology).*Data engineering and transformation experience.*Proficiency with DAX, SQL, and other scripting languages.*Understanding of data visualization best practices for building reports, dashboards, KPIs, etc. with highly interactive elements.*Exposure to a range of on-premises and Azure data sources (SQL Server, Oracle, Analysis Services, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Data Lake Storage, etc.)*Ability to work collaboratively with key users and stakeholders to run workshops, establish user stories and understand business processes, gather and challenge requirements, and encourage continuous feedback.*Analytical thinking to translate requirements and data into informative visuals.*Experience working in an agile and iterative development environment.*Experience with CI/CD methods and/or structured release management.

*Applicable certifications.*Hands-on experience with cloud architectures and Azure data services, e.g. Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, etc.*Working knowledge of the banking and financial sectors, particularly risk control and treasury.*Support of the entire SDLC including requirements gathering and design, risk and issue management, testing, deployment, and production support.*Documenting technical designs in a clear, concise, complete and structured way to aid understanding of the business and knowledge transfer.*Working with Quality Assurance teams to ensure testing is thorough and complete to ensure successful implementations.*Attention to detail to ensure requirements, change requests, defects and production issues are implemented to specification in a timely and predictable manner.*Excellent interpersonal skills to form productive and collaborative relationships.*Ability to work in isolation and as part of a geographically-dispersed team.
