Senior Java Developer

The goal for the program is to deliver a new mortgage lending platform. The solution will allow customer to strengthen its business partnerships and present customer as a strong opponent to the other players in the market. It is done in a cooperation with 3 data centers. Customer will provide a backend (services) layer and the data centers will implement the services into solutions provided to banks. It is one the biggest IT initiatives in the Danish finance sector of the last years, because it will be used by most of the Danish banks and millions of customers. It is also one of the most complicated programs because of the number of stakeholders involved.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, model and code solutions that fit the problem domain
- Take responsibility for all development work and ownership of quality control
- Work with other developers, testers, Scrum Master, Product Owner and other people involved
- Stay up to date with new technology and teach other developers how to incorporate new trends
- Generate ideas with other team members and offer insightful solutions
- Meet tight deadlines with a cool head
- Attend meetings with clients and peers
SKILLS
MUST
- Broad and extensive knowledge of the software development process and it's technologies
- Strong knowledge of Java 8 and JEE
- Experience with Gherkins, Cucumber or Rest-Assured
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs
- Familiarity with application servers: Weblogic and Wildfly
- Experience with microservices
- Knowledge about testing tools and techniques: unit testing, BDD, Cucumber
- Strong background in coding (min. 4 years)
- Experience with database creation, querying and query optimization, with focus on Oracle DB and DB2
- GIT proficiency
- Experience in working in an Agile setup, in a cross functional team
- Some experience with Host will be an asset
- Interest for our problem domain (production of mortgage loans)
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Be a good team player
- Be proactive
- The ability to explain technical jargon to peers
