- Core-platform development (Cloud-based Platform-as-a-Service for financial services)
- Building integration components connecting the product with bank’s APIs
Teams: Product Owner + Developers
Main technologies and methodology: Java 8/11, Go, Kafka, Cassandra, Prometheus and cloud setup with AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker; HTTP and REST services; DDD, unit testing, integration testing
Agile management: Kanban
Issue tracking tool: Jira
Knowledge repository: Confluence, Google docs
Code reviews: GitHub
VCS: GIT
Operating systems: macOS, Linux
Scope of duties:
- Building components that integrate with banks’ APIs and collects consumers’ data
- Reverse engineering of undocumented bank APIs across Europe and the world
- Creating scalable framework around building and maintaining thousands of integrations, making the work efficient and sustainable
- Keeping the user’s best in mind and contributing ideas and thoughts to the next generation of the company’s products
What you’ll need to succeed
- You probably have 10+ years of experience in Java system development
- Good understating of http-based communications and modern API design
- BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical exp.
- Good English skills for everyday communication
- Doer mentality
- Passion for problems solving, attacking problems from different angles
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Pragmatic and solution-oriented approach, understanding how to balance quality and speed in different situations
Extra points for:
- Experience in cloud setup with AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker
- Familiarity with other tools in tech stack used in the company (above)
- SQL, noSQL
- Tech Leadership experience
