Your new role
We are looking for a skilled Software Developer experienced in Java and willing to learn Gosu or familiar with Gosu and Angular JS. You will be working as Technical Lead on implementation of Guidewire tools in the insurance projects for Clients all over Europe.
You will be responsible for:
- participation in various technical stages of package / Guidewire implementation project
- supervision over the implementation of the project from the team
- collaborating with team team members, mentor the project test team to plan, develop and implement project activities to achieve project and client goals
- status reporting regularly to the Manager
- building and maintaining relationships with the client and key stakeholders
- managing the performance management for the direct reportees, in accordance with the organisation's policy
- participating in the organisation-wide people initiatives
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be a successful candidate you must have:
- At least 7 years of experience in IT industry
- At least Bachelor's degree from top-tier university (preferably in Computer Science or a related field)
- Experience in Guidewire ClaimCenter / PolicyCenter / Billing Center Configuration/Integration/Conversion
- Experience in Insurance domain, preferably in Property & Casualty
- Experience in Java 8, JEE, XML, Web Services (Axis 2), SQL, ANT
- Strong in Pl/SQL, Spring, Hibernate, Castor, any Enterprise Messaging System
- Strong knowledge and experience on Tomcat and/or Websphere/Weblogic
- Hands on experience and knowledge on enterprise system integration, preferably from Insurance domain background
- Understanding and experience of software development best practices
- Excellent business communication and leadership skills
- Willingness to travel to the customers locations on needed basis
- Excellent English language - both verbal and written. German or other European languages will be an advantage.
