Senior DevOps Engineer
Location: Remote Poland"Foundational Platforms" is a global team within the Production Integrity function, responsible for the strategy and development of the core cross-technology software toolsets of IT Service Management and IT Asset Management. These products are vital to frictionless processes reliant on golden source data, and to enable intelligent use and management of the application/service estate. Foundational Platforms is responsible for driving improvement in the governance processes such as change management, and expose the data necessary to capitalize on analytics and automation opportunities.
The team is hiring an experienced program manager to drive a number of complex streams of activity required to support the banks adoption of the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Using ServiceNow and other technology products, the team will ensure that the configuration management database accurately reflects resources used in GCP. This will then enable the implementation of re-imagined IT Service Management processes such as Change Management. In total, the work of this team will ensure the firm continues to meet its on-going compliance commitments, whilst also exposing data to enable automation opportunities throughout the firm.
RESPONSIBILITIES
An experienced DevOps developer with expertise in maintaining and building CI/CD pipelines for both frontend and backend applications.
- Strong background in application build processes and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience using GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Actions for CI/CD builds.
- Practical knowledge in automating manual processes and integrating them into build processes.
- Experience using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code on a cloud platform.
- TeamCity knowledge and experience is a plus.
- Jenkins knowledge is a plus.
- Understanding of how applications are containerized and configured for Kubernetes.
- Understanding of how teams use Maven, Angular CLI and WebPack to build applications.
- Experience working with agile methodologies and Jira.
- Project artefacts are documented and tracked.
- Working on agreed time, cost and quality parameters within the agreed scope.
- Analyses and identifies possible risks and issues that could impact delivery and either resolve them or escalate as appropriate.
- Demonstrates personal commitment to supporting colleagues within the team.
- Prior experience of working in Bank (Platform and Infrastructure) and/or familiarity to policies and procedures of Bank will be helpful.
