Senior Development Specialist

We are looking for an Analyst Developer with strong Java and analysis skills who is comfortable working alongside a strong, international team of analysts and Java developers.

Key Accountabilities:
Undertake development tasks assigned by the Project Manager or Team Leader.
Ensure that development is undertaken in line with continuous integration / delivery and test driven development philosophies and that code quality standards and processes are adhered to.
Provide guidance, and assistance to other team members in terms of technical queries or queries regarding the specifications, product knowledge, or business expectations.
Provide BAU Support (3rd Line) for the Production system.
Contribute to code releases, raising Change Requests, providing training where required to Support Staff and being involved in the implementation.
Work with business analysts to understand the requirements, then work with the development team to translate those requirements into maintainable code.
Delivery of defect free code on time and in budget to a production environment.
Manage the rectification of production system issues with the minimum disruption to the business.
Ensure compliance with all relevant internal instructions (FIMs, GSMs, and circulars), internal control standards and external regulatory requirements, including the management of operational risk and adherence to the Group's standards of ethical behavior
Requirements:
Core Java 6
SQL, stored procedures
Unix shell scripting (Bash, ksh)
Unit/integration testing - JUnit, Mockito, etc.
XML parsing
Good to Have:
Microsoft SQL Server
Apache Struts
Maven, Git and continuous integration (we use Jenkins)
Java 8 – including generics, multithreading, concurrency, functional programming, streams
Spring Framework
Actimize AIS, RCM
Experience working in an investment banking environment
About 5 or more years of experience
Credit / Rate products e.g. Credit Derivatives, Interest Rate Derivatives, Equity Derivatives
FX (FWDs, NDFs, Swaps)
