Senior Chief Accountant - Italian language (m/f)
Main purpose of the role is to provide accounting and tax guidance and support to the Italian team, ensure monthly closures are done on time and on quality, and respond to accounting inquiries from management in a timely fashion. The scope comprises of one company located in Italy with a high turnover across both Europe and Oversees.

Our Client is a global company that operates in manufacturing sector. Their situation on the market is very stable for many years, hiring more than 10 thousand employees and being listed on the London Stock Exchange. Currently they make a great investment in Cracow, where they centralize processes and create new positions to add more competence in their functional areas.
Description
- Oversee accounting operations by controlling and verifying financial transactions performed by the team for an Italian company,
- Responsibilities include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures,
- Provide support for e.g. tax returns, VAT, corporate tax (ISOC), Annual Accounts,
- Ensure and implement a Control framework in line with Group guidelines,
- Ensure month-end and year-end close processes are done on time and with a high level of quality
- Supervise and assist with tax audits and tax returns,
- Analyse financial discrepancies/variances and recommend effective resolutions,
- Respond to accounting inquiries from management in a timely fashion. Monitor expenditures, analyse revenues, determine budget variances, and report the same to management,
- Assist in budget preparation and in auditing activities by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations.
Profile
- Higher educational degree in Accounting or other equivalent certification,
- 10 years of proven experience within financial controlling or accountancy,
- Excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts,
- Understanding of IFRS and indirect tax (VAT),
- Hands-on experience with accounting software packages/ERP (SAP is an additional asset),
- Fluent in English (speaking and writing),
- At least good Italian language command,
- Accuracy and attention to detail,
- Result-oriented and "problem solving" mind.
