Senior Business Analyst

The role is within the Global Banking area, which is part of the HTS Global Banking and Markets IT division providing IT solutions and support for Global Banking (GB) and Global Markets Capital Financing (GCF) business areas.

The candidate will be working in Spartan team.

GBM & CMB Client Profitability "Omnia" dashboards provide dynamic reporting on business performance (revenue, profitability, RoRWA) to Finance, Business Heads, Senior Management & Relationship Managers.

The project comprises of two applications; Spartan, A micro services based web application developed using Java and other libraries and Qlik Sense dashboards used as reporting module of Spartan.

Role:

We are looking for a business analyst with experience in requirements gathering and testing of reports and dashboards. Prior experience working in the business intelligence space is a must.

This job involves a high degree of critical thinking and requires taking a strategic, deliberate approach to product development and testing.

Assist the business in defining the detailed requirements and act as a translator of business requirements into technical functional specifications. Act as an intermediary (point of contact) for both business and IT functions alike to refer to for clarification. Be the single point of contact for partner systems to work with over feed requirements.

• Supporting Project Managers within the department.
• Working independently and as part of a team.
• Building on best practice.
• Review of defects and their prioritisation
• Ensure deliverables fulfil business requirements and quality levels.
• Develop a stragegy to monitor and continuously refine the quality of reports and dashboards. Help identify likely quality problems ahead of time.
• Validate features and data for the dashboards.
• Perform regression tests.
• Provide feedback on usability.

• Good knowledge of MI reporting for Credit Risk or Portfolio Management.
• Hands on woking experience of working in a Agile project
• Full life cycle Business Analysis experience from requirements definition through to implementation within a business facing IT environment
• Complete formal knowledge of the document life cycle, terms of reference, technical and functional specs, business requirements and business cases
• Experience working with offshore development, analysis & test teams
• A degree in a numerate business focused subject (eg. Accounting, Finance or MBA) with 5-7 years of relevant experience.
• Problem solving and analysing an issue\opportunity highly desirable.
