Our client is a professional Biotechnology organization, based in Netherlands.
They are a world leading, innovative specialist in natural products. This is realised by innovative research and development, completely targeted on the needs of their customers. The head office is in the environment of Leiden, the Netherlands. They have a very effective central organisation where international activities are steered.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
As a Research Manager you and your 9 fellow teamleaders are responsible for the biotechnology department. You will be responsible for setting up the research plan, implement those plans and also execute those plans. Ofcourse you and your team will take care that the research strategy is aligned with the policy and goals of the company. Next to that you stimulate the application of research results.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Taking care of the biotech research facilities and keeping them up-to-date. You also will be responsible for selecting new personnel that is needed for key-functions. Your fellow teamleaders will assist you with this. You have to be able to build bridges between developing and researching. That's why you have to be a very good listener. You have to have a clear and stimulating vision for the future because a part of the research is multidisciplinary. Other responsibilities

REQUIREMENTS
- 10+ years of postdoc experience
- Knowledge of genetics
- Hands on experience
- Fluent in English and Dutch
