Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
As Senior Auditor, you will be responsible for conducting audits focusing on the fund business. In particular, you will carry out product and process audits in the areas of portfolio and risk management, middle office, fund accounting, risk controlling and reporting.
Your area of responsibility includes:
- Independent planning, execution and documentation of process-oriented audits in Poland and in Germany in accordance with regulatory requirements for Alternative Investment Fund Manager (AIFMs) with a focus on financial regulation in Germany: KAMaRisk, DerivateV, KAGB, KARBV, etc.;
- Examination of the efficiency and effectiveness of existing internal control systems;
- Identification and evaluation of risks as well as definition of findings;
- Control of the audit process and the audit team;
- Documentation of test results in working papers;
- Coordination of audit results with the audited departments in Poland and in Germany;
- Preparation of audit reports including the identified findings and their evaluation;
- Acting as contact person for the audited entities;
- Follow-up on the identified findings;
- Preparation of audit concepts and further development of audit methods;
- Accompaniment of major projects of the UI-Group through audit-related consulting;
- Support and collaboration with external auditors in Poland and in Germany;
- Consulting of management and specialist departments of the UI-Group.
Qualifications, Experience/ Skills and Key Competencies
- A successfully completed university degree in economics or a comparable qualification;
- At least five years professional experience in an audit department of a bank or AIFM;
- Knowledge of the relevant legal requirements for German banks or AIFMs (e.g. MaRisk, KAMaRisk, DerivateV, KAGB, KARBV);
- Experience in the application of auditing and risk standards (COSO, DIIR, IIA);
- Certification in the area of internal auditing (CIA) or auditing desirable;
- Extensive experience in planning, controlling and managing audits;
- Ability to present complex facts in an appropriate, clear and conclusive way at management level;
- Strong capacity for team work, motivation, reliability, resilience and service-oriented approach;
- Organizational talent, personal initiative and ability to develop solutions independently;
- Very good PC skills (MS Office);
- Fluent German is a strong advantage;
- Fluent English;
- Readiness to travel
