Senior Accounting Manager
Miejsce pracy: WarszawaThe role will be part of the EMEA finance Center of Excellence. The primary responsibility will be to lead accounting team which is responsible for both general (payroll, accruals, expenses, fixed assets etc.) and technical accounting (premium, claims, commissions, etc) including reconciliations and related reporting process for a number of countries across EMEA. This position works with CoE, regional and local country staff as well as other Corporate departments

Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant with approximately 8+ years post qualification experience ideally in the life/non-life insurance industry
- Hands-on experience in managing and leading finance teams
- English language skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated experience of implementing and overseeing finance controls
- Good attention to detail but with the ability to also look at the big picture
- Ability to meet tight and regular deadlines
- Advanced general ledger system and excel knowledge
- Team player who can also work on tasks independently and able to integrate quickly into a busy finance team
Duties:
- Manage the team to ensure accurate completion of general and technical accounting for a number of countries across EMEA
- Deliver the production and reporting of accounting data within the strict deadlines to ensure completion of all US GAAP monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting to Company Home Office
- Responsible for ensuring adherence to Accounting and Operational policies including Balance Sheet and P+L controls/reconciliations are in place
- Ensure a strong control framework and culture is in place with full documentation and attention to detail
- Implement US GAAP accounting policies and accounting principles
- Identify and implement improvements and efficiencies in the reporting process
- Conduct other ad hoc reporting requirements and participate in special projects, as they arise
