For our Client, an international company located in the heart of Warsaw, we are currently looking for a Senior Accountant (person responsible for full accounting of a group of entities)
Your new role
You will be responsible for full company accounting, participating in the preparation of the financial statements, calculating of VAT and CIT taxes and preparation of tax return, reporting for internal and external needs. Senior Accountant will also cooperate with the auditor, participate in the creation of new accounting processes and procedures and improve existing ones, keep a register of fixed assets. On this role you will also develop and implement processes and procedures and participate in global process improvements, you will be a contact person for local Tax Authorities. You will be responsible for accounting & monthly closing of financial accounts, ensure accuracy and completeness of all asset and liability balance sheet accounts, in accordance with IFRS.
What you'll need to succeed
You’ll need to have minimum 5 years of work experience in accounting teams, holding similar position. Minimum bachelor’s degree (finance & accounting, economy or related field), professional accounting designation, CPA or equivalent; good knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP, as well as strong analytical skills and tax knowledge are crucial. Ideal Candidate is able to work independently, while demonstrating flexibility, has gained excellent communication skills in English and Polish (both written and spoken), present a sense of autonomy, initiative, and responsibility; has good understanding of priorities, and shows 100% respect for deadlines. We are looking for a person experienced in cooperation with external auditors. Familiarity with ERP system is an asset (preferably Symfonia). Senior Accountant should be a results-oriented person, with a strong track record of successful delivery, what is more should also has an ability to work in virtual teams, across functions, and across borders.
