For our Client from the Financial Industry, we are looking for a Candidate for the Senior Accountant position (contract for 20 months).
Your responsibilities :
- Ensure timely update of books of accounts as per the relevant GAAP
- Participate in the monthly close of organisation and its subsidiaries, including preparation of monthly accounting entries, account ledger reconciliations, variance analysis etc.
- Investigation and resolution of accounting differences, including working with other stakeholders
- Implementation of best practices within the Corporate Accounting team
- Ensure technology is utilized in consistent, efficient manner and take part in optimization, automation and digital innovation projects
- Provide support for the implementation of new accounting standards
- Central point of contact for questions from key stakeholders
- Provide support for year-end audit related issues and financial statement preparation, as required
- Participate in team meetings to understand needs of the Corporate Accounting team, the wider finance function and the business
- Take part in cross-functional collaboration to enhance accounting, control, financial and operational support
- Understand how the business works and the upstream and downstream activities that impact and are impacted by Corporate Accounting and the wider finance function
- Perform all other job related duties as requested
- University degree in Accounting or in a related field (e.g. Economics, Finance)
- Fluent in English B2+/C1
- Analytical skills and strong attention to detail
- Excellent computer skills (MS Office applications)
- Team working skills
- Ability to maintain flexibility, to plan and organize tasks, and schedule work to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills
