Senior Accountant - Payroll
On this position you will manage and coordinate all payroll related entries and administrative requirements. You will be working independently and take full ownership on the assigned areas of responsibilities. You will play a key role in defining procedures, accounting procedures and establishing a working control environment to comply with local laws and US Gaap requirements.

Or Client is an international company from pharmaceutical sector with their SSC located in Prague. For their developing structures we are looking to hire candidate for the position of Senior Accountant - Payroll.
Description
- Key expert for specific payroll questions, control owner and coordinator with external partners and local HR payroll providers across all countries
- Establish accounting policies and guidelines in accordance with US Gaap and local law requirements
- Perform the end-to-end activities in the Account-to-Report processes according corporate policies and in accordance to US Gaap standards for the dedicated area
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end reporting in line with US Gaap and meet all corporate and regional deadlines
- Develop subject matter expertise to provide guidance across the organization
- Understand the data provided by external providers and the impacts of every transaction to challenge or propose material accounting judgmental entries when relevant
- Responsible for adjustments and resolves problems within company guidelines and given policy
- Support on internal and external Audits including SOX Testing and internal controls
- Ensure documentations (Guidelines, Manuals) are complete and up-to-date
- Support group wide finance projects
Profile
- Higher degree in business administration or equivalent finance specific degree, CPA/ACCA
- Strong knowledge of payroll related finance and accounting principles and processes
- Account to Report knowledge and experience is preferred
- Payroll processing know how and experience
- Experience in a multinational corporation desirable
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Good level in any other European language would be an asset
- Ability to identify areas of improvement and to drive necessary action to completion
- Demonstrate sound work ethics, respect and cultural sensitivity and awareness
- SAP, Payroll Administration, US-GAAP, SOX
