Scala Big Data Developer
Location: WrocławThe challenges waiting for you:
You will work with the team to research and develop server side components to solve complex data cleansing, entity resolution, network graph building and graph querying problems on a very large (Big Data) scale in a highly performant way. You will additionally need to integrate this solution with other components of the wider programme.
Currently, we are creating the whole SII team: middle and senior developers.
The challenges waiting for you:
- Designing and contributing to the implementation of complex algorithms
- Complex data engineering pipelines
- Responsible for implementing Scala solutions on Hadoop (Spark) and GraphX (Spark GraphDB), development of Elastic Search components
- The scale of the system, complexities of social network building, data quality, changing financial crime landscape
- Identify and develop the technical design documents
- Developing, iterating and production sing complex data models
Required skills:
- Around 3 years of experience in Java / Scala/ Big Data development
- Experience in commercial projects with Scala, Hadoop / Spark
- Hands on development experience with Big Data/Parallel Processing
- Experience in social network analysis and on Google Cloud Platform
- Knowledge of any SNA system e.g. SAS Fraud Framework, Palantir, Wynyard, Detica Netreveal will be an advantage
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of Elastic Search/Lucene, MongoDB/CouchDB, Hive/Impala/SparkSQL, Sqoop/Flume, Python, R
